Arts Tower, University of Sheffield
To improve accessibility, the main external entrance ramp of this building has been renovated and fitted with custom-designed and manufactured Thorlux Brink illuminated handrails.
University of Plymouth
In total, over 3,000 SmartScan luminaires have been installed across this campus, with commissioning from Thorlux engineers to achieve optimum performance. Specific applications have included re-lighting the exterior of the Roland Levinsky Building with iconic Realta and Realta Micro luminaires, installing Colour Active luminaires in a futuristic gaming lab, and creating bespoke acoustic panels for the Plymouth Business School.
LDK Amberfield Retirement Village
Working with a sales partner, Thorlux Lighting Australasia supplied over eighty Brisa pole-mounted 3000K floodlights to illuminate paths, roadways and public spaces throughout this new retirement village complex.
Wednesbury and West Bromwich Bus Stations
To renovate the lighting at these two busy bus stations, Thorlux Lighting supplied a complete turnkey solution, managing the project in-house and covering all design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning aspects. The installation team worked during early mornings and late evenings to reduce the impact on daily operations. The award-winning Thorlux Lighting Design department oversaw the extensive retrofitting work.
Boston Lodge, Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways
As part of a significant regeneration project, partially supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Thorlux Lighting worked with Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways for two years to comprehensively re-light buildings and outdoor spaces at this site with energy-efficient LED luminaires.
