Boston Lodge, Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways
As part of a significant regeneration project, partially supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Thorlux Lighting worked with Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways for two years to comprehensively re-light buildings and outdoor spaces at this site with energy-efficient LED luminaires.
University Station
Thorlux was delighted to supply high-performance, long-life SmartScan luminaires to this significant new-build train station. Thorlux Lighting and West Midlands Trains were highly commended for their overall LED station lighting project at the 2024 Rail Business Awards.
Lille Flandres Train Station
This large railway station in France has benefited from a 90% energy saving through the installation of a SmartScan lighting system.
Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway
This volunteer-operated heritage railway approached Thorlux to install new energy-efficient lighting in their maintenance sheds at Toddington, in part due to the company's impeccable carbon credentials.
Redditch Station
The primary objectives of this new lighting scheme were to increase the light levels, reduce energy usage and provide a safe and comfortable environment, thus increasing security and passenger confidence. Furthermore, the customer was keen to reduce its routine maintenance and emergency testing costs.
